About Sarah
Sarah Hayes was born and raised in the amazing dry heat of far-northern California where she graduated from a local university with her teaching credential, started her family known as “Hurricane Hayes”, and discovered her love for writing while her children napped. In 2015 she galloped into the publishing world with her children’s book, Cowboy Wyatt, (currently in need of new illustrations before getting relaunched). And after four and a half years of finally putting her credential to use homeschooling, her family jumped into the steam-bath land of southeastern Tennessee where her children re-entered the public school world (covered in prayers by their mama), and Sarah re-entered the land of daydreams and writing. Despite the humidity, they still reside in Tennessee and Sarah gets to dedicate time to working on her debut novel, Into the Veil.

I have a massive sweet tooth…but I can’t stand honey or sugar in my tea.
I am a lifelong daydreamer. If you see my lips moving quietly to myself or see me smiling to the air…just know it’s going to be a good story.
My husband and I were high school sweethearts, and I still have all of the notes we passed each other in the hallways (benefits of being a teen in the pre-cell phone era).
I have five children and haven’t slept in about 15 years.
I love Jesus more than anything…even fresh-out-of-the-oven, warm, gooey chocolate chip cookies, which are also a favorite.
After passing out on a mission’s trip in Ukraine, I was given radioactive water to drink from a lake affected by the Chornobyl disaster in Russia…I may or may not have superpowers now.

Into The Veil
Coming Soon!
There are consequences for crossing the veil... Losing her memories is the least of them.
When Anolli awakes inside the magical veil -no memories, no identity, trapped in a hostile village - the countdown begins. Armed with nothing but the terrifying instinct to reach for a blade that isn't there and hunted by enchanted vines that respond to her every move, she must rely on Titus, a stranger whose warmth feels like a home she can't remember, to keep her safe.
When they are forced to take shelter with a madman, Anolli works to piece together the fragments of her forgotten past, discovering a forbidden power lying dormant within her and an increasing awareness that she is there for a reason. But the closer she gets to the truth, the more she realizes not remembering may come with a price. Innocent lives. Titus’ included.
The village fears her, the memories haunt her, the vines want to end her, and the power in her veins calls her name. If only Anolli could remember.
However, some memories are better off forgotten…Some lives won’t be saved…And some terrible truths can’t be avoided. Even when they might cost her everything she once loved.
